Last night (24th January) the exec held their latest meeting at the Leopard in Nantwich. Why Nantwich when none of us live there? – because we had invited Carl Swain to come along to discuss web site changes and we felt that meeting him part way to Malpas was a nice thing to do. Here are the highlights
There is a possibility that we may need to move the Open Finals night due to a clash with the All England (No – we don’t have any players playing in the All England but they might be watching). Tony will sort this out very soon.
A big night for all John Ford Quarter Finalists. Crewe Lifestyle Centre at 7 pm, why not come and have a look
We did have to discuss late payment of fees by clubs affecting our affiliation with Badminton England. More on this at the AGM. All is well now, fully paid up.
You might remember that we asked for a voluntary increase on tournament entries at the Masters. This was to enable us to donate to MacMillan Cancer, an initiative from Cheshire CBA. We raised £51 so thank you all Masters who did this
There are spare handbooks around if you have a need – Dave Sumner can help
Carl Swain listened attentively to all of our suggestions for improving the web site. Popular opinion is that it is already one of the best around. We always seek to make it better still. We sorted a number of things out at the meeting and Carl took away a couple of meatier issues.
