The Presentation Dinner took place last Saturday (18th June) at Crewe Golf Club. A very good turnout was there to enjoy the Golf Clubs hospitality followed by the awards. Kara Robinson led the way by bringing up the Junior, Masters, Open and Handicap groupings together. Brian Horrocks then took the audience through the divisional titles. Congleton were not there but got a mention as being John Ford winners. We could not present the Tony Hickson trophy as the recipient was not there and is still unaware of having won it. A surprise is in store. The final cup was awarded as always to our most improved player in the last year. Ellie Baines has had a fabulous year, winning a stack of junior trophies, representing Alsager in senior and junior league and nothing less than winning the Ladies Open title at the age of 14!!. Well done Ellie, what a great talent that we will see a lot more of from now on. Dave Sumner regaled the audience and Ruth Raiswell rounded the evening off by reading out the answers to a very challenging table quiz that everyone enjoyed.
